The YAESU FTM-310DE ASP is a C4FM/FM VHF/UHF dual-band mobile transceiver designed to deliver excellent receive performance, flexible operation and clear, powerful audio.

With a maximum RF output of 55 W on 144 MHz and 50 W on 430 MHz, True Dual Receive, Super-DX + ASP technology, AESS Dual Speaker System, PMG, Band Scope, built-in GPS and support for APRS and WIRES-X, the FTM-310DE ASP combines a comprehensive range of advanced functions in a compact and intuitive mobile transceiver.

The FTM-310DE ASP is equipped with the SPU-1 Audio Digital Signal Processing Unit already installed, enabling full use of Yaesu's ASP digital noise reduction system.

Super-DX + ASP: Enhanced Weak-Signal Performance

The Super-DX function increases RF amplifier sensitivity when the received signal is weak, helping to extend the effective communication range.

Combined with ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor), the received audio signal is digitally processed to separate and reduce noise, enhancing voice intelligibility. This makes weak signals that might otherwise be difficult to hear through noise clearer and more comfortable to listen to.

ASP can be operated manually or in Auto Mode. When Auto Mode is enabled, ASP is automatically activated or deactivated according to the received signal strength.

True Dual Receive with Independent Band Control

The FTM-310DE ASP provides simultaneous reception of two independent frequencies, including operation within the same band: V+V, U+U, V+U and U+V.

Independent controls and LED indicators for each side make monitoring and operating two frequencies straightforward and intuitive during everyday mobile operation.

PMG: Monitor Up to 5 Frequencies

The PMG (Primary Memory Group) function allows up to 5 VFO frequencies or memory channels to be registered and monitored, with received signal activity displayed in real time as a bar graph.

Both Manual and Auto modes are available, making it easy to keep track of multiple frequencies and quickly identify active channels. This is particularly useful when monitoring several repeaters or operating frequencies while mobile.

High-Resolution Band Scope

The Band Scope provides a graphical view of radio activity around the operating frequency and can display up to 47 channels. Signals shown on the scope can be selected and monitored directly.

Switching between Dual Receive and Scope operation is quick and easy, providing an effective way to explore activity across the band.

AESS Dual Speaker System: Powerful, High-Quality Audio

The AESS (Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System) operates the speaker built into the main radio unit together with the front speaker integrated into the control head.

The two speakers provide a combined 6 W of audio output (3 W + 3 W), delivering powerful, clear and spacious sound. The balance between the two speakers can also be adjusted to optimise the audio response according to the installation and operator preference.

C4FM Digital and AMS

In addition to conventional analogue FM operation, the FTM-310DE ASP supports YAESU C4FM digital communications, providing excellent digital audio quality and reliable communications.

AMS (Automatic Mode Select) automatically recognises the received signal and selects the appropriate C4FM digital or analogue FM communication mode.

MAG and Advanced Memory Management

MAG (Memory Auto Grouping) automatically organises memory channels into groups according to their frequency band, making stored channels faster and easier to find and recall.

The transceiver provides a total of 1,103 memory channels and also allows frequently used channels to be assigned to the dedicated M-GRP memory group.

Built-in GPS, APRS and WIRES-X

The integrated high-sensitivity GPS receiver provides real-time position and heading information and supports the transceiver's advanced location-based functions.

The FTM-310DE ASP is ready for APRS® 1200/9600 bps communications and supports WIRES-X, allowing access to Yaesu's worldwide Internet-linked communication system through compatible nodes.

Wideband Reception from 108 to 550 MHz

In addition to the amateur VHF and UHF bands, the FTM-310DE ASP provides wideband reception from 108 to 550 MHz, including AM reception of the aeronautical band.

Detachable Control Head for Flexible Installation

The control head can be separated from the main radio unit, allowing greater flexibility when installing the transceiver in a vehicle. Microphone connections are provided on both the control head and the main radio unit.

The optional SJMK-500 Swing Head Kit allows the angle of the control head to be adjusted for improved visibility according to the installation position.
